We are honored to welcome you to our school where Roadrunners EXCEL every day! Our campus proudly holds the Purple Star Distinction, recognizing our commitment to supporting military-connected students and their families.

To further enhance this support, we participate in the student-led  Anchored For Life program . This initiative is designed to help military kids adjust to new environments, build resilience, and thrive both academically and socially.

Anchored For Life

EME is pleased to offer participation in Anchored for Life to our military students. This is a peer-to-peer club that helps youth develop essential life skills, such as social skills and leadership qualities. It supports children, especially from military families, in adjusting to new environments and transitions. The program fosters resilience, confidence, and resourcefulness. Anchored4Life also creates a supportive community where youth can connect and grow together.

The month of April has been designated as the Month of the Military Child.  This time of the year offers a special opportunity to acknowledge and honor the services of our smallest heroes, our military children.  At East Milton Elementary, we would like to take the opportunity to recognize their service and sacrifice. 

Military Students who presently participate in lunch groups will have a special celebration on Purple Up Day during lunch scheduled group times.

* We provide families tours when they come in to register.

*Anchored For Life Students also give students tours and provide support as students begin school.

*Monthly Anchored for Life Lunch Bunch is ongoing to provide continuous support.

*Houses/ EXCEL PBIS Program through our Positive Behavior Incentive Houses student leaders are voted on by fellow students to assist with our community building activities and our EXCEL Experiences to reward students for their hard work.
