I have a few reminders and announcements to share. The 6th grade field trip to Pensacola NAS scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled and will be rescheduled. Teachers will provide updates on the new date at a later time. Additionally, it is Red Ribbon Week. I have attached another copy of our dress-up days schedule. Please note that on Friday, students are permitted to wear their Halloween costumes. However, blow-up costumes, weapons of any kind, accessories, or face coverings are not allowed. Thank you for your cooperation, and enjoy your week!

This is Laura Looze, Assistant Principal of Chumuckla Elementary School, with an important message for parents and families. We are conducting a lockdown drill at school today as part of our regular emergency drill process as required by state law. We know that drills can cause possible concerns for our students, but we believe it’s important for them to know exactly what to do in an emergency and these practice drills enhance their safety. Again, all students are safe, and this is simply a required lockdown drill. Thank you for your understanding and support.

Reminder: Please remember to RSVP for Reading Isn't Scary Night on October 23, 2025!

- If you would like to provide a Kona for another student, please select the "Pay It Forward" option, and add the item to the cart. You may purchase as many as you like, but please select each Kona Ice separately (select one, then add to cart, then select next one and add to cart, and so on and so on....)!
- Please have your order in by 10/14/25!!!!
- If you have any questions about the prepay system contact guynfrank@kona-ice.com. We encourage you to not send cash. Pay online! It's super easy! (Of course, we will accept cash at the truck, but paying online eliminates the possibility of your child losing the money before they get to the truck.)

Bus 404 will not be running this morning. Bus 414 and Bus 415 will be running behind due to helping pick up Bus 404 students. We appreciate your patience. Have a wonderful Friday!
Bus 407 will be late dropping off students this afternoon. Currently the bus is parked on ten mile road having mechanical issues and transportation is delivering another bus to finish the route. All students and staff are safe. You may contact the transportation department if you have any questions. Thank you and have a wonderful afternoon.
Due to the weather today, the fourth grade field trip will be cancelled and rescheduled. You will receive information on the new date at a later time. We are sorry for the inconvenience. If you have any questions, please call the front office. Thank you and have a wonderful day!
I would like to share some important reminders.
Tomorrow, Kona Ice will be available. Please note that online orders are now closed. If you did not place an order, you may send in cash.
Morning Drop-Off Procedures:
1. Remain in your vehicle at all times.
2. Students should unbuckle and be prepared to exit on the right side of the vehicle. (Please make sure to kiss them and tell them you love them before stopping to unload.)
3. For the safety of all, students must exit from the passenger side only.
4. Passing other vehicles is strictly prohibited.
5. Staff members will be available to assist as needed.
6. Please pull all the way forward to each open gate; do not release students onto the grass.
7. Once again, please stay in your vehicle.
Tardy Policy: The tardy bell rings at 7:50 AM. Students who eat breakfast should arrive with ample time to eat and be in class by this time. Arrivals after the bell will be marked tardy. Parents must escort students into the building if they arrive after the tardy bell.

Students that are not participating on either of the days will get a grab and go packaged meal from Chartwells, but it will be located in the main hall and they will take it straight to class.
